The main objectives are to gain the highest cask yields possible (maximising profits) whilst maintaining beer quality.

Cask wastage levels can in fact be reduced to as low as 1/2 pint. If you take your current wastage levels and compare against the potential increased yields by using an Autotilt, you can easily determine just how much extra you could gain.

The Filton Autotilt is designed to gently tilt an ale cask as the beer is dispensed. The smooth action of the tilt prevents disturbance of sediment, maintaining beer quality.

Taking a 9g (firkin) cask as an example, the actual tilting begins after approximately one third of the beer has been dispensed. The tilt action occurs smoothly over the dispense of about twenty eight pints. This allows the sediment to move very slowly without disturbance. The remainder of the beer is then dispensed with the cask stillaged at it's final position.
